There is no limit on the number of raises in No-Limit or Pot- Limit Hold’Em. In No-Limit Hold’Em, players can bet up to the amount of their table stakes in any round while in Pot-Limit Hold’Em, players can bet up to the total amount of the pot. Players may be absent from the table for a maximum of two dealer changes. If a player has less than the amount of the big blind, that player will have 15 minutes to return to the table with a minimum buy-in. Any player exceeding these time limits may have their chips removed from the table and their seat given to the next player on the wait list. Any player returning to the Poker Room that has had their chips removed by a Supervisor or above will be placed onto the bottom of any list for the game from which the player’s chips were removed.

Each player’s cards must remain in plain view of the dealer and the other players at all times. Omaha is a board game that uses a flat disc called a dealer button to determine who receives their cards first and where the action starts for each betting round. Lee and I both liked poker and had been playing a lot recently. A little card game seemed like the perfect antidote to our dilemma. So we decided to pay our 30 pounds and enter the tournament.

Players may not seek advice as to the play of their hands while in possession of a hand. Players will be responsible for turning their own hands over at the showdown.

There were 50 players, and we were the only ones who would be happy to bust out. All we wanted to do was stay occupied for one hour, and we would be victorious. Flat-panel TVs are placed above each table and display tournament information at such close range so that even short-sighted players can stay on the pulse of the action. All tables are equipped with phone chargers as well. To have a live hand, players must be at their seats when the last card is dealt to all players on the initial deal. Players not then at their seats may not look at their cards which are killed immediately. Their posted blinds and antes forfeit to the pot and an absent player dealt the stud bring-in card posts the bring-in.

This rule is not intended to encourage players to be out of their seats while in a hand. Ring tones, music, images, video etc . should be inaudible and non-disturbing to others.
